Great effort from Maykes, just too strong when it mattered. 4x3pts finish is awesome.

I tried to hang onto him but couldn’t...he’s a worthy winner.

Ravi bottled it big style and couldn’t face a podium “I prefer to spectate”

Whitsed, always a threat lurked around on the front nine though was “gagged out of it” by Ax.

Dewey, back on song and a real threat for 2010 (11 years, amazing), if he can get his golf bag fixed in time.

Ax, a legend of calm and uncaring. Couldn’t quite get his marginal brilliance brand on track.

Hunt, glorious for a hole. Stinker for a hole. A hole is a hole as they say.

Brewin, playing with timber takes real class. And he showed that.

Otto, so up and down he makes Himalayas look boringly flat and consistent. The engine room of sursum’s booze factor as always “two from the top, 3 from the next”...love it.

A great series of golf, and the evening venues needed a bit of car tipping and angels on wheels to spice them up.

The whole thing organised itself really – until a little bit later.
